Enterprises exporting medicinal herbs to China will have to have an export registration before April 15, 2023
Specifically, the Plant Protection Department received a notice from the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) about the review of the Supervision System for exported medicinal herbs and registration for enterprises producing, processing and preserving medicinal herbs for export to China.
To meet the requirements of the Chinese side, and at the same time not affect the export of Vietnamese medicinal herbs to this market, The Plant Protection Department proposed the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development of provinces and cities to direct specialized agencies to review the growing areas and packing facilities of medicinal herbs in the area to prepare for the registration of export to the Chinese market.
Simultaneously propagating and disseminating China’s new regulations; guide organizations and individuals to complete dossiers on planting areas and packing establishments according to the guidance of the Plant Protection Department; Basic Standard on Procedures for Establishment and Monitoring of Growing Areas (TCCS 774:2020/BVTV), Basic Standard on Procedures for Setting Up and Monitoring Packing Facility (TCCS 775:2020/BVTV).
In addition to the dossiers according to the instructions, the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development of provinces and cities guiding the planting areas and packing establishments provide additional information at the request of China.
Units receive dossiers of growing areas, packing establishments and check and evaluate these dossiers at the request of growing regions and packing establishments. Compile information on growing areas, packing facilities that meet China’s requirements according to the form and send with dossiers and reports to the Plant Protection Department before April 15, 2023 in order to summarize and send to the General Administration of Customs of China.
Units under the Plant Protection Department also prepare contents according to China’s new regulations to actively propagate and disseminate information about these regulations of GACC to guide pharmaceutical exporters to know and comply with regulations.
