The number of foreign arrivals to Vietnam in the first quarter of this year jumped 89.1 percent year-on-year to 91,000 as international flights and inbound tourism resumed.

After 2 years, Vietnam will finally be open for international tourism once again. But while most restrictions have been lifted, there are still some requirements one should know before travelling.

Many ministries have voiced support for the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism's proposal to reopen international tourism and lift all travel restrictions from March 15.

Vietnam must be prepared to safely reopen tourism, ideally at the end of March and no later than the end of April, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said on Thursday.
